About Us
Kentucky National Insurance Company is once again under Kentucky ownership. All outstanding stock of Kentucky National Insurance was purchased in August, 2007 by First Kentucky Insurance LLC, a Lexington-based company owned by Terry E. Forcht of Corbin, Kentucky.
Kentucky National Insurance had been purchased in 1995 by American European Group, Inc., a New York insurance holding company. In 2004, American European Group decided to concentrate on its core business in the northeast and in April of that year, Kentucky National Insurance, with the agreement of the Kentucky Office of Insurance, stopped issuing and renewing policies. Kentucky National Insurance continued to service and pay claims under existing policies.
Kentucky National Insurance is only one of a few remaining Kentucky domestic stock companies based in the commonwealth, and the only domestic stock company to market exclusively through independent agents. Kentucky National Insurance Company offers eight insurance coverage options- auto, home, boat, renters, manufactured home, dwelling fire and excess liability. The company’s national headquarters are located in Lexington, Kentucky.
